We had a lovely time at Gill and Phillip’s – delicious meal (with vegetables!) great company and good wine – what more could you ask? Their place is truly wonderful – set in 3 acres of garden, and you can’t see another property at all.

Stavvers was parked on the drive, and we slept in him overnight before heading for the airport at Bergerac some thirty minutes away.

Grand Tiffaudie

Bergerac airport is tiny – we parked in the long stay car park and 30 seconds later we were in the terminal building!

The flight was less than half full and very easy, as indeed was Leeds Bradford, as we breezed through and were home 40 minutes later.

We had a lovely week at home celebrating my birthday and Dad’s 90th, where 19 of us congregated at the Wellington Inn at Darley for lunch.  Everyone had a great time and Dad was really made up.

Guess how old he is?

We spent the rest of the week catching up with family and friends and arrived back at Gill and Phillip’s just before 11 a.m. the following Saturday after a very early start, ready to restart the holiday – part 2 here we come!
