Lazy day in Hout Bay

As it’s Sunday, we decided that we’d like to walk down to the local market first to browse around the stalls there, and then a bunch of us walked to the Harbour market and met the rest there so we could sample the food court once more. Karol was hoping that Katherine would be at the local market, but once again she wasn’t there. Still, we had a good browse and bought a few bits and then set off across the beach to the harbour. Richard had been bragging that he was going to take a dip in the Atlantic at some point in the holiday, but has so far only managed a bit of a paddle. I don’t think he’s going to make it somehow – the water’s really cold! Anyway he’s still adamant that he’s going in so watch this space! After we’d once more sampled the food hall, and Phil had bought a shirt to match my purchase from the previous week (Howard and Howard apparently) we set off back across the harbour towards the beach and home. There was a bit of a crowd gathered in the harbour, and it soon became apparent what they were looking at as there were dozens of seals frolicking in the water, waving their fins in the air – it was almost dance like the way they were behaving! Having returned home we then set off to Lawrence and Amanda’s for a late Sunday lunch. The previous week I’d taken a bottle of Pinot Noir along, and in conversation it transpired that Lawrence didn’t particularly like Pinot Noir, and I confessed that I wasn’t a fan either, hence why I’d given it to him! So this bottle of wine was duly returned to me by Lawrence when they came round for tea the next time. Not to be outdone I took it back this time too, but also took along some wine that we would both drink too. Let’s hope we’ve seen the last of that particular bottle! A fun time was had by all yet again, and Home Heroes took us all back safe and sound.
